Dr. Behnam loves the outdoors. It’s not hard to see the allure of hiking, even for those who are otherwise not really outdoorsy people. America is famous for its hiking routes and there is a good reason for that. The trails often follow the state lines, revealing some of the most beautiful sceneries of North America. This sense of wonder is not always free, however, as some of the trails can be extremely dangerous for a variety of reasons.
Common Mistakes Some of the mistakes a hiker can make can result in injuries or even death. One of the most frequent problems is not bringing a map. This can be especially problematic when the hiker misses a path or choses the wrong one. Depending on the general location of the hiking route, such a mistake can result in anything from a small mishap to a fatal error. Always Prepare Preparation is always crucial. No matter how easy you think a hike is, always take with you a recent map and the most basic survival items. These items include but are not limited to: a waterproof compass, a lighter with plenty of fuel, food, clothing that’s appropriate for the weather, and most of all, fresh water. It is entirely possible to survive without food for an extended period of time, but water is vital. Without water, one can only last for a couple of days. Whenever Dr. Behnam Rostami goes on a hike, he always tries to prepare for most scenarios. Sources: http://www.nearfieldcommunicationtags.com/hiking-safety.html Comments are closed.
